Wake Forest has received a Letter of Intent from 2015 wide receiver Charles Wade out of Jacksonville, Florida. He attends Bishop Kenny High School, and was a high school teammate of current Wake Forest quarterback John Wolford. He committed to Wake Forest after a visit to Winston-Salem last September.
Wade is listed at 6' 195 pounds. He runs a 4.5 40-yard dash, has a 35-inch vertical jump and is rated as a 3* recruit by 247. He chose the Deacs over early offers from Purdue and Marshall. As a junior he had 69 receptions for 1,529 yards and 19 touchdowns. As a result, he was named 1st team All State in Florida's Class 5A as well as First Team All First Coast. As a senior he repeated as 1st Team All State in Florida, even without having Wolford back on the throwing end.
Wake Forest fans can only hope Wade and Wolford to continue to build upon their illustrious prep careers.
