Coach Dave Clawson and the Wake Forest football staff received a commitment yesterday from 2018 wide receiver Isaiah Isaac.
Isaac is rated as a two-star (79) on 247Sports and this is interesting timing considering the camps coming up for Wake. Isaac must have been very high on the staff’s Big Board since they went ahead and offered/took him at this point in time.
Coach Dave Cohen was the primary recruiter, and it seems his recent visits to Buford High School in Buford, Georgia and other Georgia schools is beginning to pay off.
Below is the official tweet from Isaac announcing his commitment:

“I absolutely loved Wake Forest,” Isaac told All Things ACC. “It is a beautiful school, the people are nice there, the coaches are cool, and the academics are outstanding. I really enjoyed my time at Wake Forest and I always knew about them, I watched them on TV.”
For Isaac, the main draw to Wake Forest seemed to be the outstanding academic reputation that our school has.
Isaac is also an all-around athlete, having participated in several different sports, including track. He will likely be able to contribute to the team in more ways than just as a receiving target.
Below are his highlights from his junior season:
Welcome to Wake Isaiah, and Go Deacs!
