Wake Forest stands out as the first school to offer 2019 defensive end Isaiah Chaney a scholarship.

Chaney plays for Cartersville High School in Georgia, state champions in both 2015 and 2016 in their class. He is apparently being recruiting by Dave Cohen.
He is listed at 6-4, 220 pounds on his Twitter profile, and Chaney will likely continue to pick up offers as we move along. There isn’t much out there on him now, as info on 2019 guys is a bit sparse except for the elite players.
This is likely an attempt by the staff to get in early on a guy who will develop moving forward. They have thrown out a lot of offers the last 2-3 days to players from both the 2018 class and the 2019 class. We continue to see offers coming in from all over the East Coast, which is good to see in terms of expanding the Wake Forest brand.
