Wake Offers 3-Star TE Elijah McAllister

Coach Clawson and Co. continue to go hard after tight ends in the class

NCAA Football: Boston College at Wake Forest Jeremy Brevard-USA TODAY Sports

2018 tight end Elijah McAllister received an offer from Wake Forest yesterday according to his Twitter feed.

McAllister is a talented 2018 3-star tight end out of New Jersey who boasts offers from over 15 schools. The Deacs join a lot of good suitors to offer McAllister, with Tennessee, Maryland, Michigan State, and Pittsburgh among the teams who are interested.

At 6-6, 230 pounds, McAllister is the 25th ranked tight end in the country by 247Sports, and the 625th ranked overall player, sitting at an 85.7 overall rating. Tennessee appears to have the inside track right now, but there is still a lot of time left before a decision is to be made.

An offer to a kid in New Jersey is a bit different, but it shows the staff is not afraid to get out there and find the best fit for the program regardless of where they are. I like that type of mentality in a coaching staff.

McAllister is the 10th tight end that Wake has offered for the Class of 2018. That includes a commitment from local Mount Tabor tight end Blake Whiteheart.
