Three-star QB Lemar Harris commits to Wake Forest

The Demon Deacons landed their 10th recruit of the 2014 class with QB Lemar Harris out of Milbrook High School in Raleigh (NC).

Wake Forest made it to double-digits for the 2014 class with the commitment of QB Lemar Harris on Friday night.

Harris is a three-star QB/Athlete out of Millbrook High School in Raleigh (NC).

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Harris ran close to a 4.4 40-yard dash at camp. He has also shown flashes of superb athleticism.

According to 247Sports.com, Harris is the 28th best player in the state of North Carolina and the #97 athlete.

Harris has been highlighted on several radio shows as a "breakout" athlete to watch this year. Based on what I have heard and seen of him I believe that he could bust onto the scene this year big time.

He threw for 1,049 yards and seven touchdowns as a junior, while running for over 200 yards and four TD's. Boston College and Georgia Tech had not offered but were tracking him very closely.

It will be very interesting to see whether an athlete of this caliber will play QB for Wake Forest or whether the Deacs will still look to take two more quarterbacks for the class. I would guess that he will get a shot at QB, especially given the new style offense the staff is looking to switch to.

How serious the looks he gets at QB could be answered by who else the Deacs sign at the QB position for '14.

Regardless of where Harris winds up, this is a great grab by the staff in terms of pure talent.

We here at BSD welcome Lemar to Wake and know that he will love it here in Winston-Salem. We look forward to seeing you on campus next summer!
