Devoe is rated as the 157th overall player in the 2018 class by 247Sports, but appears to be on the rise. He is the 34th ranked PG in the class.
At 6-4/175, he fits the bill for the length that Coach Manning is looking for at Wake.
He averaged 24 PPG and 5 APG for the Pioneers this season, and his coach describes him as a player who can “score on all three levels, rebound at a high level, and is very active defensively and he is also our best passer.”
He picked up offers from Clemson and Wake Forest yesterday, and received one from Connecticut earlier in the week. He also holds offers from Georgia Tech, Florida, Miami, Rhode Island, and Virginia.
The Hurricanes were the first to offers him a scholarship, doing so in October of 2015. Wake is a little later on him, but hopefully it will pay off. With an offer list like this it indicates Devoe is a heckuva player.
He appears to have a good set of ball-handling skills, but also a good jumper that will translate into a combo-guard type player at the collegiate level.
