Week 2 is here and it’s time to see how BSD feels about Wake’s chances against the Norfolk State Spartans—spoiler, we feel pretty good. Everyone correctly predicted that Wake would win last week, so as far as outright winners are concerned, everyone is tied for the lead.

The outcomes of games like these are rarely difficult to predict, but the final scores can range anywhere from 30-100 points. Could the Deacs the put up 100 on Norfolk State if they wanted to? Probably. Will they? Most assuredly not. How many points the Deacs score in this one really should come down to when the coaching staff decides the pull the starters and whether or not they let the back ups run the normal offense. I’m guessing that once the second and third string players start trickling into the game, the offense is going to slow the tempo way, way down and probably completely abandon the passing game, resulting in far fewer points. With Florida State lurking around the corner, I’d guess the starters would play no more than about the first half. There really isn’t much else to say about this one, the talent disparity between Wake Forest and Norfolk State is way too great and the Deacs will probably be able to have their way no matter what they try to do. I’ll say the Deacs jump out to a 31-0 lead at the half and then once again coast to an easy win for the second week in a row.
Elijah: Wake 49—NSU 13 | NSU +42.5 | Over
The Deacs are hoping to keep up their strong momentum as they face Norfolk St. Norfolk State comes in after falling to Toledo, 49-10. Look for the Deacs to come out and focus on their own execution and limiting mistakes.
Wake Forest should start fast and similar to last week, the hope is to get a lot of new players in the game to keep the good vibes rolling. The Deacs continue their winning ways against non-power 5 foes and win relatively easily, 49-13.
Cam: Wake 56—NSU 10 | Wake -42 | Over
Wake should and probably does win this game. Give me 56-10. Norfolk state looked absolutely miserable last week, and it won’t take much to score more than Wake did last week. Priority here is staying healthy and getting young guys(outside of Jasheen Davis) some run.
SF: Wake 34—NSU 13 | NSU +42 | Under
Average: Wake 48—NSU 10 | NSU +42 | Over
Obviously we all really like Wake Forest in this game. There is really no reason Norfolk State should be in this game longer than about a quarter.
