BREAKING: Transfer Dallas Walton commits to Wake Forest

A Big man! We did it reddit!

Steve Forbes has struck yet again in the transfer portal, this time with Dallas Walton out of Colorado.

Walton has struggled with knee injuries throughout his career but started coming along on an NCAA tournament team this year, 23 games. He shot 55% from the field and 9 for 19 from 3-point range to go with his 17 blocks on the season. The 7 footer posted an Offensive rating(An estimate of points scored (for teams) or points produced per 100 possessions) of 123.9 and a Defensive rating of 94.1. Both of those marks would be by far and away tops on the team.

Dallas comes in with 2 years of eligibility, given he could apply for and easily get a medical hardship waiver for his injuries in the past. At this point in time, I don’t know if I’d project Walton to start, but he will get his fair share of minutes given his size and defensive prowess, which will allow a guy like Mucius to slide more as a true wing at the 3 or the 4, and at times go big with Ody or Tariq at the 4 if they need it.

Tracking scholarships, Wake now has 3 left to use for the upcoming season and there very well could be much coming soon. But for now, let’s just vibe.

Welcome to Winston, Dallas!
