The penultimate game of the 2020-21 regular season is here, and the Deacs are set to take on a team they have already beaten once this season, the Pitt Panthers. The big news out of Pittsburgh is that last week, both Xavier Johnson and Au’Diese Toney decided to enter their names into the transfer portal and are no longer playing for the Panthers. The pair was averaging almost 30 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists per game combined this season, so that is a pretty big loss. It has been a very rough couple of weeks for the Deacs down the stretch, so getting into the win column at least 1 more time this season would be a great way to end things on a somewhat positive note and prepare for the future.
