Coming out of a relatively new high school in Douglasville, Georgia, Wake Forest received a signed NLI from Horatio Fields.
The 6-3, 190 pound played both sides of the ball for New Manchester High School, and racked up 52 catches for 933 yards and 7 touchdowns this season. It wasn’t shocking to see prospects from lesser-known high schools given the pandemic. Fields received All-State Honorable Mention honors as well Douglas County Offensive player of the year.

Fields shows good speed for being a bigger receiver and uses his strength to not go down on the first hit. He looks to be in the mold of a Donavon Greene/AT Perry type receiver at the X. He could very easily come in and contribute early but regardless you can’t have too many receivers in this offense and will be learning from some of the best in the ACC in Greene, Roberson, Morin and an exceptional coach in Kevin Higgins.
Fields signed with Wake over offers from Army, Ball State, Citadel, Murray State and Samford. He is listed as a 3 star of 247sports.com and a 2 star at Rivals, but a composite 3 start and the #241 receiver in the 2021 class.
Welcome to Winston Horatio!
