The Deacs lost a tough one last time out against the Florida State Seminoles, so it is important for Wake that they do not carry over any negative effects from that game into tonight’s matchup against the Duke Blue Devils. The big news this week for the Blue Devils is the opt out of potential lottery pick Jalen Johnson, meaning that Johnson will miss both games against the Deacs this season. Last time out, sophomore forward Matthew Hurt had his way with Wake Forest to the tune of 26 points on 10-15 shooting, so the Deacs will have to find an answer for him on the defensive end. The Blue Devils are just 3-6 since beating Wake Forest early in January, so this is a very winnable game for the Deacs.
