Wake Forest lands Transfer RB Christian Turner

Big addition to fill the RB room

Well after writing an entire thing about how Wake needed to take advantage of the transfer portal,

they did just that.

Fighting off Oklahoma, Auburn, Wisconsin, Miami and Northwestern, amongst others, Wake Forest lands Christian Turner out of Michigan.

Turner opted out in 2020 before deciding to opt back in shortly before Michigan fall camp started. He played in just one game for the Wolverines this season however, finishing his Wolverines career with 64 carries for 270 yards and a touchdown.

He won’t come in and start but after losing both Kenneth Walker III and Kendrell Flowers, adding depth in some form made too much sense. One of the best parts about Turner is that he has 3 more years of eligibility, even though he’s been in college for 3 years. So if he does come on and show the potential he had coming out of high school, something John Hunter has been one of the best in the country at, he can be around for a while.

We’ll keep you updated on any and all developments as the offseason continues.
