The Duke’s Mayo Classic was originally to be played this coming Saturday at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, but was moved to Winston-Salem due to the COVID-19 pandemic not allowing for fans to attend games in the state of North Carolina. After seven additional positive tests on the Notre Dame football team the matchup was postponed yesterday.
In addition to the Notre Dame game being rescheduled, Wake Forest’s matchup with Campbell, originally scheduled for October 9 has been moved to Friday, October 2.
This means the Deacs will now have a bye week this week, play Campbell next Friday, and then have another bye week the following week.
Wake Forest will then play games on October 17, 24, and 31. Then after another bye week November 7, the Deacs will finish out the season playing five games on November 14, 21, and 28 and December 5 and 12.
Wear a mask. Go Deacs.
