First I wanted to say #HireConorONeill
Earlier this week, Wake Forest released its depth chart for Saturday’s game vs NC State.

If you’re thinking it looks eerily similar to last week’s depth chart, it’s because it’s very close. The only switches from last week are as follows:
-DB Coby Davis is off the depth chart(Ja’Sir Taylor said he suffered a freak injury last week)
-DB Isaiah Essissima is now an “or” with Kenneth Dicks III behind Ja’Sir as Hardimon now a co-starter with Peyton Woulard
-DT Dion Bergan now has an “or” with Sulaiman Kamara
It’s going to be interested to see who actually does play that didn’t last week. Wake was down at least 4 DBs and 4 DTs including Tyler Williams.

Tyler Williams, Quinton Cooley, Jaylen Hudson, Mike Allen, James Ash, Justin Williams.
4 of those 6 are DTs so without assuming too much, that might be our first inkling of COVID-related unavailable players.
In regards to RB Quinton Cooley, it appears that he has suffered a season ending injury and will be back in 2021. Dave Clawson has indicated that DTs Tyler Williams and Justin Williams will be back and that Tyler could have played last game but they didn’t want to strain the injury he had. He also hinted a few DBs will be back as well, which will automatically be an improvement. Love ya, Nasir, but I’d really prefer you playing Safety and Zion Keith spelling you after his performance last week.
Wake has a lot of questions, but didn’t get a lot of answers last week vs Clemson. It’ll be interesting to see how they look to bounce back and to also keep track of who’s missing.
As always
