So we already knew who was playing whom, but now we know “when” as this morning the ACC announced the weekly schedule.

If you remember, Wake Forest had the toughest schedule in the ACC(maybe even country) and to start the season off the ACC decided to laugh at the Demon Deacons by making 2 of their 1st 3 games against Clemson and Notre Dame. As Conor O’Neill of the Winston-Salem Journal noted, the structure of how the schedule set up is right up Dave Clawson’s alley.
3 games - OFF - 4 games - OFF - 4 games

is pretty much an ideal layout for Dave Clawson.
I don’t think it can be understated how important that middle 4 game stretch is for Wake. If there is a bowl season, odds would say that Wake comes into that stretch 1-2, meaning they’d need to grab 2-3 out of ODU, UVA, VT, Syracuse to have a reasonable chance, strongly leaning 3.
Hey ACC teams, please stop playing Liberty. The money ain’t worth it.
All in all, this could’ve been worse for Wake given the hellish schedule, but still a long way to go. What do you all think of the schedule?
