Big hitter joins the Deacs

While people were gushing(rightfully) over Steve Forbes and his intro press conference, Wake Forest football decided it wouldn’t be outshined for too much longer.

DB Quincy Bryant out of Parkview High School, just outside of Atlanta, gave Wake Forest a much needed recruiting boost by announcing his commitment.

Bryant’s film gives me a lot of hope for him as an eventual successor to Nasir Greer and he’s a big hitter and always looks like he’s ready to make the next big play when he gets around the ball.

Just taking a peek at his offer list he held offer from Florida State, Yale, Harvard, Louisville, and Iowa State amount others. Given this list and the school he’s coming from I have no questions about his talent nor his ability to deal with the academic rigors that Wake Forest has to offer.

In high school he was voted to the defensive all-region team by the AJC in Georgia’s 7-AAAAAA region. Grabbing good commits like these are important a) as Clawson and company are also trying to snag commitments from their teammates but also b) the entire COVID-19 has been a bit of a sour on recruiting all over the country, but especially schools like Wake who really rely on in person evaluations and getting recruits on campus to sell the program to them.

I’m very excited for this commitment and I’m leaning there will be more exciting news in the days, weeks, months to come.

Welcome to Winston-Salem Quincy!
