It is estimated that the cancellation of the NCAA Tournament cost schools of all divisions around $375 million in payouts from the NCAA. If the 2020 football season becomes endangered due to the pandemic, there will likely be several more sports cut across the college landscape.
This is just one more reason why I am happy we have a guy like Dave Clawson at Wake Forest. Not only is he a really good football coach who has led the Deacs to four straight bowl games, but he’s also willing to put the needs of others in front of his own in times of hardship. That is a true leader.
