Wake Forest basketball’s Olivier Sarr has been named the ACC’s Player of the Week after his dominant performances against Duke and Notre Dame.

Sarr played 30 minutes in the Deacs’ 113-101 double overtime win against Duke, and had 25 points on 7-9 from the field and 11-14 from the free three throw line. He also had 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks before fouling out in the first overtime.
He was unstoppable against Notre Dame, as he finished with a career high 30 points and a career high 17 rebounds. In 32 minutes, he was 12-16 from the field and 6-7 from the free throw line.
It would appear that the team finally listened to head coach Danny Manning’s constant insistence on getting more “paint touches”, and on Saturday it clearly payed off when they got it to Sarr inside.
Between the two games he was 19-25 from the field and 17-21 from the free throw line, and almost all of his points were from the paint or the charity stripe.
Congratulations to Olivier, and here’s hoping he can continue his dominant performance against North Carolina and NC State this week. Go Deacs!
