Wynn played in just 14 games this season and averaged 1.3 points per game. He had a tough time finding his way into the rotation in 2020, as the Wake Forest roster was teeming with players at the guard position—by my count, the Deacs had 7 scholarship players at guard, and 4 of those were upperclassmen. Over his 2 year career with the Deacs, Wynn played in 41 games and scored 70 points on 30% shooting from the floor. He scored a career high 11 points against Miami in 2019.
Whether Wynn is the only player not returning to Wake Forest next season or the first in a long line of dominoes to fall, we will have to wait and see.
And as always, we would like to wish Michael the very best going forward in his basketball career. Good luck Michael!
