The Deacs had already postponed the Troy game last week, and have now additionally postponed or cancelled the games against Presbyterian scheduled for December 13 and Virginia scheduled for December 16.
The earliest game Wake could play is the game on December 21 against VMI, though that game is in doubt depending on how long all basketball activities must be paused. The players need enough time to get back into game condition after being out of practice.
The Virginia game will attempt to be rescheduled, though in looking at the remaining schedules for both teams it will be very difficult to find an open date without the ACC moving around some other games.
This extended postponement of activities follows a three week period of no games for the football team, who has not played a game since November 14 at North Carolina.
Here’s hoping everyone gets well soon, and we can see the Steve Forbes era of Wake Forest basketball resume in a couple of weeks.
Get well and stay well Deacs! Wear a mask!
