It has been over a month, but the Wake Forest Demon Deacons are finally back in action on the parquet in Winston Salem. The Deacs return to action to take on the Catawba College Indians in what appears to be an exhibition game (Catawba’s website lists it as an exhibition, Wake’s does not). In any event, this is a great opportunity for the team to just get back into the swing of actually playing basketball games, since they have not played since beating Longwood on November 27th. It will also give Wake Forest fans a chance to see the debut of Carter Whitt, a 2021 recruit who reclassified and joined the team earlier in December. If everything goes according to plan, Wake’s first conference game of the season will take place on January 3rd at Georgia Tech.
