DaShawn Jones, a 3-star cornerback out of Mount Saint Joseph High School in Baltimore, Maryland, has signed his letter of intent to play for Wake Forest. Jones is an athletic 6-0, 170 pound defensive back who will add some depth to Wake’s secondary.
He is the 173rd best cornerback in the country and the 47th best in the state of Maryland according to 247sports. Jones chose Wake over offers from Liberty, Kansas, Temple, Villanova, Kent State, Monmouth, Morgan State, Maine, Elon, and Holy Cross.

Jones committed to Coach Dave Clawson and staff on May 27, and will look to help out in the secondary. He is one of the lower ranked recruits in the class, but that hasn't proven to be much of an indicator of future performance for Wake Forest recruits in the past.
