Brandon Williams, a 3-star DE/TE out of Strom Thurmond High School in Johnston, South Carolina, has signed his letter of intent to play for Wake Forest. Williams is 6-4, 225 pounds and played both defensive end and tight end in high school, though he will be a defensive end at Wake. He will need to add some weight in in order to compete on defensive lines in the ACC.
Williams is listed by 247sports as a tight end, so his rankings don't really matter for how Wake Forest will use him. However, he is ranked as the 72nd best tight end nationally, and 19th best in the state of South Carolina. He chose Wake over offers from West Virginia, Virginia Tech, Army, Appalachian State, East Carolina, Coastal Carolina, Charlotte, Akron, and Georgia State.

Williams committed to Coach Dave Clawson and staff on his birthday, May 6.
Williams had seven sacks through the first eight games of the 2019 season, and should be an active force on the defensive front for the Deacs.
His hudl highlights below are impressive!
Welcome to Wake Forest, Brandon!
