Wake Forest and the ACC announced today that Saturday’s game against Duke will not be played due to positive cases and contact tracing within the Demon Deacons’ program.

It has not yet been announced whether the game will be rescheduled or cancelled altogether, and there have been conflicting reports about whether the Deacs and Blue Devils will try to make up the game later in the season.

This is the second time this week that Wake’s schedule has been adjusted, as the ACC announced that it had made changes to the remainder of the schedule earlier in the week.

Currently Wake is still slated to play @ Louisville on November 28, vs. Miami on December 5, and vs. Notre Dame on December 12. It is possible that the Deacs could make up the Duke game on December 19 since neither team will be involved in the ACC Championship Game.

We wish all of the affected players and staff a speedy recovery.

Go Deacs! Wear a mask.
