Wake Forest football's Nick Andersen and Carlos Basham Jr. (AKA “Boogie” and apparently AKA “Godzilla” according to Dino Babers) have received weekly awards from the ACC.

Basham was named the ACC’s defensive lineman of the week, and Andersen was named as the conference’s defensive back of the week and rookie of the week after both had outstanding performances in the win over Virginia Tech on Saturday.
Boogie had a career high nine tackles, including seven solo tackles. He also had a sack, which extended his streak of consecutive games with a tackle-for-loss to 23—leading the NCAA in that category.
Andersen was also named the Walter Camp Defensive Player of the Week for his three interceptions against the Hokies. He became the first Wake Forest player since 1987 to have three interceptions in a single game, and led the team in tackles with 11. The walk-on is sure to be high on the depth chart going forward, and Coach Clawson has already said he will be receiving a scholarship in the spring.
Congratulations to Nick and Boogie! GO DEACS!
