Wake Forest has decided to dip into the transfer portal and grab some much needed help. Right Guard Terrance Davis has decided to transfer to Winston-Salem and I couldn’t be much happier about it.

Davis comes to Wake after being a 4 year starter at Maryland, he hails from Temple Hills, however Davis missed the last 8 games of the season with a knee injury and was able to save a year of eligibility. After he went down, Maryland’s offense really never looked to same if that tells you how much of a force he was.
Terrance Davis OG - Maryland: 6’3 315, Davis was a 4 year starter at Maryland and redshirted last year due to a knee sprain. Picked Maryland over UM (note the shorts lol) and was a top 100 player in 2016. Davis could be an experienced plug and play option for 2020. pic.twitter.com/MlOMP37I1Q

As a recruit, Davis was came in at 74th in the nation, the 3rd rated guard, and 2nd best player in Maryland according to 24/7. He had held offers from schools such as Alabama, Michigan, Florida, Georgia, Ohio State, and Tennessee. So pretty good!
Davis, from what I’ve been able to gather, excels at run blocking. At 6-3, 317 he is a behemoth on the line and would very obvious get the running game going again. With the addition of him, that would shore up just about all questions outside of LT on the line. I’ve pondered the idea of kicking one of Tom/Jurgens to LT if someone like Clapp or Rappleyea isn’t ready for that time, and truthfully I don’t want to rush the development of George Sell.
Dave Clawson and Nick Tabacca have been doing an excellent job over the last few years recruiting up front and this is a HUGE pickup for the team.
Welcome Terrance!
As always,
