Former Wake Forest quarterback Jamie Newman has announced that he will transfer to Georgia and spend his last remaining year of eligibility playing for the Bulldogs in the SEC.

During his time at Wake, Newman threw for 3959 career passing yards, had 35 passing touchdowns, 16 interceptions, a 60.5% career completion percentage, and posted a 142.7 career passer rating. He also had 826 career rushing yards and 10 career rushing touchdowns. Jamie led the Demon Deacons to a 10-6 record during his time as the starting quarterback.

Newman was the 2018 Birmingham Bowl MVP, is tied for first in single game touchdown passes in school history, tied for second in single season touchdown passes in school history, second in single season total offense in school history, fourth in single season passing yards in school history, and fourth in single season rushing yards by a QB in school history.

We at Blogger So Dear would like to thank Jamie for his contributions to the Wake Forest football program, and wish him all the best as he continues his collegiate career at Georgia and looks to better his NFL Draft stock.
