Newman received nearly half (46%, to be precise) of the 400 votes cast this week. That comes on the heels of a 401 yard, 3 TD, 0 INT game where he completed over 70% of his passes and also added a score on the ground.
Although surely none come close to the honor of being voted Deac of the Week, Newman picked up a few more accolades for his performance, including being named the ACC QB of the Week by both the ACC and PFF.
