The Wake Forest Demon Deacons expect Friday night to be a great atmosphere. The North Carolina Tar Heels come to Winston-Salem for a non-conference game and the game has all the makings of potentially being amazing, despite not counting for the ACC.
Dave Clawson: "We expect the place to be sold out, and we expect a lot of black in the stands. This is a game that we really need the Triad, the Wake Forest people to really come out and give us a homefield advantage."

Perhaps the big news coming out is that WR Kendall Hinton will not play, along with DL Tyler Williams.
On Wake's depth chart:

- no Kendall Hinton, Jaquarii Roberson listed as starting slot receiver
- Cade Carney starting RB, followed by CB-S and Kenneth Walker III
- Sage Surratt No. 1 punt returner
- still no Tyler Williams
RB Cade Carney comes back to a starting role after CB-S and freshman Kenneth Walker held the fort down last week against Rice.
Dave Clawson confirms Kendall Hinton will not play this week.

After Hinton’s strong week one and game winning touchdown, it’s a shame that he got hurt and will miss such a pivotal match-up. Although not as headline grabbing, the loss of Tyler Williams is actually a big deal, especially for the Deacs run defense.
The Tar Heels have surprised many through the first two weeks of the season, winning against a SEC opponent and then taking care of the Miami Hurricanes. Led by Mack Brown and freshman quarterback Sam Howell, momentum is strong in Chapel Hill. However, the Deacs look to quell it with an electric atmosphere Friday night, regardless of who plays.
