Wake Forest baseball and coach Tom Walter continue to show their ability to recruit the best players in the nation.
Yesterday Bobby Seymour was named ACC Player of the Year after leading the nation with 92 RBIs on the year and leading the ACC with a .377 batting average. He became the seventh Demon Deacon ever to win this award.

This year, Seymour leads the nation with a ridiculous 92 RBIs and also leads the ACC with a .377 average to go along with 19 doubles and nine homers. Congrats Bobby! #GoDeacs pic.twitter.com/q5EhJKy2jZ
Seymour joins Will Craig (2015), Jamie D’Antona (2003), Bill Merrifield (1982 and 1983), Brick Smith (1981), and Kenny Baker (1977) as Demon Deacons to win the award, which was first given out in 1969.
He was also named First Team All-ACC, and was joined by teammate Chris Lanzilli, who was in the top 10 in the league in doubles, home runs, RBIs, and batting average.

Seymour has a good chance at being on national award lists as well, especially if the Deacs make it to the NCAA Tournament. Wake likely needs to beat NC State on Thursday to make this happen, after defeating Florida State 7-4 yesterday.
Congratulations to these Deacons!
