The Wake Forest Men’s Golf Team placed third at the Myrtle Beach Regional. The top five teams at the regional advanced to the NCAA Championship in Fayetteville, Arkansas. It’s been a great year for Wake Forest Golf as both the Men and Women’s Golf Team will be in the NCAA Championships this year.
With a 3rd place finish in Myrtle Beach, we are headed to the #NCAAGolf Championship

This will be the Men’s Program’s 17th trip the Championship since the NCAA adopted the format in 1989. The Demon Deacons make their return after short hiatus (2016).
Coach Jerry Haas was very excited as he talked about the team’s chances in the Championship.
”We had a solid day, with everyone at or under par all day, which was important. When you come to regionals, it is a very tough week. You can have a great year and have one bad tournament at a particular time and you feel like you wasted your year. I am excited for these guys to go to Arkansas. We have a very good chance to do well there. We need to be prepared and ready to go, maybe talk a little bit about course management in the mean time. You can tell how happy and excited they are, and a little relieved, to advance and have the chance to compete on that stage.”
It’s always great to see the Deacs excel. Congratulations to both the Men’s and Women’s Teams as they prepare for the Championship.
