Stan Cotten’s latest episode of the Wake Forest podcast “Lunch with Stan” features the latest heritage inductee into the Wake Forest Hall of Fame, John “Ziggy” Zeglinski.

Zeglinski is famous in the Winston-Salem community not only for his time at Wake Forest, but also for founding the former downtown bar and live music venue Ziggy’s.

A major topic of discussion in this episode was Dr. Gene Hooks and the impact that he had on John.

They also talk about each of his kids and their own athletic careers, including former Virginia guard Sammy Zeglinski, Tony Bennett and what he means to Virginia and the family, watching his son put on a Virginia shirt for the first time, his recruitment to Ohio State under Woody Hayes as a quarterback, the reason being able to play both baseball and football meant so much to him, his choice of coming to Wake Forest, whether he was a better football or baseball player, and much much more.
