After the early signing day period netted Wake Forest a “perfect” Early National Signing Day Period with 19 of the 19 commits faxing in their paperwork on December 19th, Wake Forest announced an additional player for the 2019 class today as the signing period reopened.

From the Houston area, Isaiah Essissima has committed to play for the Deacons. Per Conor O’Neil’s story from the Winston Salem Journal, Essissima had originally committed to play football for the University of Houston Cougars but was released from his National Letter of Intent as Dana Holgorsen took the position after the December signing period.
Essissima is a three-star recruit per 247Sports, ESPN, and Rivals and also had numerous offers, most notably from programs like Boise State, Texas Tech, Nebraska, Illinois, and Iowa State.
As Coach Clawson described him, Essissima figures to be a “outstanding cover and instinctive corner” for the Demon Deacons.
Welcome to the family, Isaiah, and Go Deacs!
