We’re adding another Beef Boy to the mix this year!
Offensive lineman Christian Forbes has officially signed with the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. The three-star, 6-foot-4, 245-pound tackle picked Wake Forest over offers from Boston College, Duke, Rutgers, Fordham and Central Michigan.

At 6-4 and almost 250 pounds, Forbes has some room to grow, but this is perfect for the system that Dave Clawson and Nick Tabacca have created for their OL. When Clawson first came in he had to send out Freshmen and Sophomores who honestly hadn’t grown enough. Now players like Forbes, who is very talented in his own right, get the chance to learn behind some All-ACC caliber linemen, get stronger day by day, and get to adjust to life and playing in college.
Forbes seems like a very intelligent kid, with a bright future ahead of him and a love for the game and Wake Forest. He hasn’t played football that long(oh hi Phil Haynes) but seems to be very adept on the left side of the line.
Lawrenceville 2020 OT Christian Forbes had a strong day @TheOpening. Competed solely on the left side, most quarterbacks' blind-side. Has offers from #KentState, #Fordham and #Monmouth. Strong interest from #WakeForest, #Temple, and the Ivy League. pic.twitter.com/fiGWnMSxQy

Losing players such as Justin Herron, Jake Benzinger, and Nate Gilliam hurts, a lot. However, adding players like Forbes helps keep the cupboard stocked and ready and contribute to Wake Forest having one of the best offenses in the nation the past few years.
Welcome to Wake Forest Christian! Excited to see you here for years to come and keep this offense rolling.
