Kendron Wayman, a strong side DE out of Ridgely, MD, has signed with the Wake Forest Demon Deacons football program. The 6'4", 215 pound composite 3 star chose Wake over Boston College, Connecticut, Temple, Pitt, and Maryland. He apparently runs a 4.8 40, and watching his highlights, it shows. This kid appears to be an absolute monster in blitz situations. If he gets a free run to the backfield, RIP. He also seems to have a great talent for forcing fumbles in those situations. Even when he gets blocked, he seems to be quite skilled at fighting through them and finishing plays off. Really, based on highlights, Kendron is exactly the type of presence Wake needs on the defensive line, assuming his game translates.
Blessed to say that after a lot of thought and praying I have committed to Wake Forest University ✨ #deacon @CoachCohenWake pic.twitter.com/BqTQ3yhxR4

While everyone can’t be Boogie, I am EXCITED about Kendron. He’ll have some time to learn and adjust given the strength of the DL over the next couple of years and when he is ready, he is going to be extremely fun to watch. It has felt that Clawson has wanted to take the similar approach on the defensive line as he has on the offensive line. If they are just ready to come in and produce, sure they’re ready. But if they aren’t, then that’s more than ok as the players in front are very talented so it allows a bit of a learning curve and some of these younger guys to grow into their frames a bit more. If you haven’t sat down and looked at his highlights, look below and you’ll be as excited as I am
