The latest Wake Forest Demon Deacons football class has gained another member. Ahmani Marshall, a 6 foot, 205 pound back out of East Forsyth in Kernersville has signed with Wake Forest. He also had offers from East Carolina, Charlotte, Duke, Kentucky, Syracuse, Vanderbilt, Virginia, and Virginia Tech. 247sports has him as a composite 3 star recruit, and the 32nd best player in the state.

After watching some highlights, I'm pretty darn excited. This kid has some pretty insane burst, and also seems to have some ability to truck fools, at least at the high school level. He also showcases some ability to catch passes out of the backfield, a valuable asset to Wake Forest's offensive scheme. If I had to point out one adjective I'd use to describe Ahmani as a runner, it would be tenacious. If this guy can add some power onto his frame while keeping his speed, he could be an absolute beast.
Before getting injured, Marshall was having such a productive season that he was one of 3 Wake Forest commits to be named to the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas. Ahmani is be one of the commits that will be enrolling early at Wake, so he’ll get plenty of time to be healthy and adjust to college life. He’ll get to join a talented backfield that includes Kenneth Walker III, Christian Beal-Smith and Kendrell Flowers. He’ll have plenty of work to do, but I’m sure he’ll do everything he can to carve out a role for himself.
