Mitch Griffis has officially signed to play football at Wake Forest, joining a very talented group of QBs led by Jamie Newman and Sam Hartman. Griffis is a 6-0, 185 pound dual threat QB from Ashburn, Virginia. He is rated as a 3-star prospect and the 17th best dual threat QB—as well as the 589th best player—in the 2020 class by 247 Sports. According to ESPN, he is a 4-star recruit, so let’s just go by that ranking. Griffis committed to the Deacs all the way back in 2018 over offers from App State, Howard, Kent State, North Carolina, Louisville, Vanderbilt, West Virginia, and Maryland.
