The Wake Forest Demon Deacons earned a blowout victory against the North Carolina State Wolfpack. It did not go unnoticed, especially for the PFF ACC Team of the Week.

On offense, QB Jamie Newman and C Zach Tom earned first team honors. TE Jack Freudenthal and OG Nathan Gilliam made the second team. Freudenthal was surprisingly not on the first team, despite a three touchdown game.
Defensively, cornerbacks Amari Henderson and Ja’Sir Taylor made the first team, along with LB Chase Monroe. Henderson now leads the ACC with four interceptions and feasted on the Wolfpack starting their third quarterback of the season.
Monroe earned first team honors a week after learning the team would take his redshirt off. Given the season ending injury to LB Justin Strnad, the linebacker depth has been a challenge.
The Deacs now enter a challenging stretch with road trips to Blacksburg and Clemson coming up. Those games give Wake Forest the opportunity to only continue to surprise and exceed expectations.
