BSD Staff Predictions for Wake Forest vs. Duke

The Deacs look to get back on track on Senior Day on Saturday at 7:30pm at BB&T Field. They have a chance to sweep the state with a win over the Blue Devils.

I see Wake righting the ship here and topping Duke on the back of a spectacular showing from Kendall Hinton.

To me, this game screams what the FSU game was. Grind it out on the ground keep the ball away from them and play good defense.

The Deacs looks to send their seniors out with a win, and Cade Carney plays a big role in that. He has had monster games against Duke throughout his career, and I don't expect his last home game to be any different. The Blue Devils are trying to win their last two to become bowl eligible and will put up a good fight, but in the end the Deacs prevail.

Wake Forest hopes to get back on track against Duke. The last two weeks haven’t been pretty in result, in addition to losing WR Sage Surratt.

It’s Senior Day, which means the emotions will be running high, especially for the players who have played all their years from day one with Coach Clawson.

Duke was a solid team but has faltered as of late. Both teams will relish the opportunity to get the bad taste of the last couple games out of their mouths. Ultimately, I believe the Deacs win, leaning on their senior running back, Cade Carney. Remember, Carney had a monster game last year to get the Deacs bowl eligible. Look for the Deacs to go back to the well.

Both teams are on losing streaks and have some key players out with injuries. With no Sage or Scotty and the forecast calling for rain, Cade Carney should have a big game on senior night and lead the Deacs to victory.
