Wake Forest suffered a tough loss in Blacksburg, and also lost receiver Sage Surratt for the season last Saturday. This week it travels to South Carolina to take on the undefeated Clemson Tigers at 3:30pm from Memorial Stadium in Clemson.
Here are the picks by the BSD staff for tomorrow’s game.
Samurai (7 Correct-Utah State, Rice, UNC, Elon, BC, Florida State, & NC State; 2 incorrect-Louisville & VT)
Clemson 49-Wake Forest 7
I dunno man. 49-7 Clemson I guess.
Cam (7 Correct-Utah State, Rice, UNC, Elon, BC, Florida State, & NC State; 2 incorrect-Louisville & VT)
Clemson 42-Wake Forest 21
Edward (7 Correct-Utah State, Rice, UNC, Elon, BC, Florida State, & NC State; 2 incorrect-Louisville & VT)
Clemson 49-Wake Forest 13
The Deacs have no chance with the injury to Surratt, and probably didn't have much of a chance with him. Clemson is just on a whole different level than every other ACC team.
Elijah (6 Correct-Utah State, Rice, UNC, Elon, BC, & NC State; 3 incorrect-Louisville, Florida State, & VT)
Clemson 41-Wake Forest 21
The Deacs struggled against the Hokies and find themselves on the road for the second week in the row. After losing their best player on defense in LB Justin Strnad a few weeks ago, the Deacs offense loses perhaps their best offensive player in WR Sage Surratt. Clemson is chomping at the bit after being initially snubbed of the CFP and now essentially controlling their own destiny to defend their CFP Title after Alabama lost to LSU.
Wake Forest will have a tough time matching up on both sides of the ball, especially down key players now on each side. Look for Coach Clawson to have his team motivated and ready for a battle. Ultimately, the talent disparity makes the score look worse than actuality and the Deacs fall to Clemson.
Adam (5 Correct-Utah State, Rice, Elon, BC, & NC State; 4 Incorrect-UNC, Louisville, Florida State, & VT)
Clemson 45-Wake Forest 10
The Deacs are injured and the Tigers are looking to make a statement to move up on those playoff rankings. I have a very bad feeling about this.
Riley (7 Correct-Utah State, Rice, UNC, Elon, BC, NC State, & VT; 2 incorrect-Louisville & Florida State)
Clemson 48-Wake Forest 21
Don’t think the Deacs have the firepower to stay in this one, but I do think we cover (minor victory). The key is to rest up, get some freshmen reps, and get ready for Duke and Syracuse.
Grumpy (3-0)
Bart (1-0)
