A week after losing freshman Tariq Ingraham for the season, the Deacs are down yet another big man. Sunday Okeke suffered a torn right Achilles tendon on Sunday’s game against Columbia and will miss the remaineder of the season, per the press release.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery to Sunday Okeke, who suffered a season-ending injury in Sunday's game vs. Columbia

While Okeke was never a focal point of the Wake Forest offense, he brought an added energy and hustle that could rarely be matched by anyone else on the court. He also had the second best defensive rating on the team last season at 107 points allowed per 100 possessions.
This injury has made things in the front court go from bad to worse, as the Deacs now have only 2 options on the whole roster at the center position in Olivier Sarr and Ody Oguama. That means that Wake is probably going to have to play even more small ball this season, especially if either one of the aforementioned players gets in foul trouble.
Injuries continue to be the worst. Get well soon Sunday!
