Wake Forest has announced that 6-9 freshman forward Tariq Ingraham will miss the entire 2019-2020 basketball season due to a torn left Achilles tendon suffered in practice last Thursday. Ingraham had successful surgery the next day to repair the tendon, and now begins the long rehabbing process.

Injuries really suck, but season ending injuries that occur a week before the first game suck the most. The unfortunate loss of Ingraham, a 3-star forward by 247 Sports, leaves the Deacs extremely thin in the front court. The active roster now features just 2 players over 220 pounds in Olivier Sarr and Sunday Okeke. Without many other options, the Deacs will probably have to play small ball for another season while Sarr and Okeke split time at the center position.
Hopefully Ingraham will make a full recovery and be able to play unhindered by any lingering effects of this injury next season.
Get well soon Tariq!
