The Wake Forest Demon Deacons enjoyed a bye week after a close victory over the Florida State Seminoles the week before. In a downpour, the Deacs were able to pull away victorious with backup quarterback Sam Hartman (get well soon Jamie Newman please).

The ACC schedule continues and with craziness just happening, such as the Miami Hurricanes beating the Pittsburgh Panthers, everything in college football seems wide open sans the SEC getting a playoff spot (between Louisiana State and Alabama).
For the second AP poll week in the row, Wake Forest is one of two ACC teams in the top 25, the other being the Clemson Tigers of course.

The schedule will only get more difficult for the Demon Deacons as the North Carolina State Wolfpack visit, followed by road trips to Blacksburg to face Virginia Tech and then Clemson to face the Tigers.
Let’s see how the Deacs respond after their bye week against an instate rival.
