Individual ACC Power Rankings
Adam
1) Clemson: Finally looked as good as they are supposed to be.
2) Wake Forest: We played the worst game we’ve played in probably 3 years and only lost by 3. Still just 1 loss.
3) Pitt: Off
4) UNC: Off
5) Duke: Beat GT at home, doesn’t really change much.
6) Virginia: Lost their second game to a questionable Miami team, both losses are on the road.
7) Florida State: Got killed by Clemson, also doesn’t really change much.
8) Louisville: Beat a ranked Wake Forest on the road.
9) NC State: Beat Cuse at home, but didn’t look great doing it.
10) Boston College: Off, no change.
11) Miami: They beat UVA at home, adding to the Coastal Chaos.
12) Syracuse: Starting to look like the Orange might be pretty bad this year.
13) Virginia Tech: Beat Rhode Island, who cares?
14) Georgia Tech: Feels like they won’t win an ACC game this year, but Coastal gunna Coastal.
Elijah
This is definitely difficult.
1) Clemson: The easiest one. Undefeated and defending national champs had a dominant game over Florida State.
2) Virginia: Tough loss against the U with some injury problems creeping up.
3) Wake Forest: Tough loss, despite scoring 59 points. The Deacs are surprisingly bad after bye weeks under Clawson.
4) Duke: Honestly, 4-13 may be pretty similar.
5) Louisville: Big win over Wake unfortunately. The program is being built quickly.
6) Miami: Big win over ranked Virginia, has elite talent.
7) Florida State: Big loss against Clemson but also has elite talent.
8) North Carolina: Their losses against Clemson, South Carolina, and Wake Forest won’t look that bad if they keep winning.
9) Pitt: Quietly have won three in the row.
10) NC State: 4-2 but nothing spectacular.
11) Virginia Tech: 4-2 but conference losses hurt.
12) Boston College: Two losses in the row... it’s weird down here in the standings.
13) Syracuse: Was a good team at top last year, how quickly things have changed.
14) Georgia Tech: This was pretty easy. Think it’ll take 2-3 years to get traditional offense players in.
Samurai
1) Clemson
2) Wake Forest: I still think we belong here, despite the loss.
3) Duke: I think they’re the best team in the Coastal.
4) Louisville: They’re really rounding into form.
5) Florida State: Raw talent goes a long way.
6) Virginia: Still less scared of them than a lot of others.
7) Pitt: They have a signature win, which is worth something.
8) NC State: Could probably be a couple spots higher. Honestly 5-10 or so are just a logjam.
9) North Carolina: Bye week, enough movement other places to necessitate this shift, but again, don’t read too much into it.
10) Miami: Pretty big win, not going to lie.
11) Boston College: *shrug*
12) Syracuse: Bottom of the Atlantic Division.
13) Virginia Tech: Still better than...
14) Georgia Tech: Oooof.
Cam
1) Clemson: They seem to be fixed!
2) Wake: This feels homerish but it felt like, and on a rewatch seemed the same way, that the game was more about Wake not doing things then Louisville doing everything right. The ACC is a mess but I think this team regardless of QB is good to go just needs to wake up before 30 minutes after the game starts
3) Pitt: I don’t want to overreact but what else can you do here? UVA lost, Louisville is improved and won but that’s a huge jump, FSU got absolutely clocked in all aspects vs Clemson, guess Pitt makes it?
4) UNC: Again speaks to how weird it’s been in the ACC but they are right there
5) Louisville: Offense looks legit, defense is an absolute nightmare though. How long can they keep it up?
6) UVA: not a great way to lose to Miami and losing Bryce Hall is #NotGoodDino
7) FSU: They’re still a fine team with a lot of talent but losing like that is yikes and seems like the injuries are piling up
8) Miami: I can’t quit this team
9) Duke: they gotta be somewhere?
10) NC State: please stop trying to throw the ball
11)VT: the more they play the worse i feel like they are
12) Syracuse: this just isn’t their year folks
13) BC: Anthony Brown means a lot to this team, pretty big blow
14) GT: I still don’t want to talk about it
Edward
1) Clemson: The Tigers finally appeared to be clicking on all cylinders on Saturday in their dominant win over Florida State.
2) Wake Forest: In spite of losing, Wake still scored 59 points and still only has one loss. A major change on defense and special teams is necessary though.
3) Pitt: They are looking better each week as the Coastal continues to implode.
4) Virginia: A loss to a bad Miami team sets them back. Also losing Bryce Hall for the year could prove to be huge.
5) North Carolina: Still only three losses. Expect them to compete for the Coastal Division title, as they may be close to the best team in the division.
6) Duke: Another potential Coastal contender. I’ve said that too often now, but that division is literally open for pretty much anybody but Georgia Tech.
7) Louisville: Another impressive win for Scott Satterfield’s squad, as they took down ranked Wake Forest on the road and put up 62 points. This rebuild is definitely ahead of schedule.
8) Florida State: Really bad loss for the Noles at Clemson. The only reason they are this high is because of their talent and how bad everyone else is.
9) NC State: They still haven't settled on a quarterback, and may not have one who is capable of throwing the ball accurately. But they did pick up a home win over a bad Syracuse team.
10) Miami: They still look bad, but they took down a Top 25 Virginia team. Another outside contender for the Coastal Division title.
11) Virginia Tech: They still have bad losses, and still look like at times they could be the second worst team in the conference. A win over Miami boosts them here.
12) Syracuse: It looks like a rebuilding year for the Orange, as this team just can't manage any offense against Power Five opponents.
13) Boston College: Anthony Brown is out now, and the Eagles continue to lose. They might be the worst team in the Atlantic Division.
14) Georgia Tech: This team might not win another game all year. It’s gonna be a long rebuild in Atlanta.
