Sage had a career high 12 receptions and a career high 196 receiving yards in Saturday’s 62-59 loss to Louisville. He also had three touchdown receptions. His touchdowns were for 3 yards, 12 yards, and 47 yards.
When the mid-season award watch lists are released later the week, you would have to assume that Surratt’s name will be all over them after the performances he has turned in so far.
On the season, Sage now has 46 receptions for 711 yards and 9 touchdowns. He is averaging 15.5 yards per reception and 118.5 receiving yards per game.
This is the fourth time in seven weeks that a Wake Forest player has won ACC Receiver of the Week, as Scotty Washington won the award in week two.
Congrats to Sage, and here’s hoping he continues on the same pace for what could be a very special season.
