It took exactly one week for former North Carolina football and basketball player of the year Sage Surratt to start raking in the awards for his play on the gridiron. The redshirt freshman caught 11 passes for 150 yards in the 23-17 Wake Forest victory over Tulane last week, and for his efforts he was rewarded the ACC freshman of the week award.
Sage Surratt named ACC's offensive rookie of the week. 11 catches for 150 yards at Tulane.

The freshman paired up with true freshman QB Sam Hartman for an extremely impressive debut for both of them. He shattered the Wake Forest freshman single game receiving record with 11, needing under a quarter to get six catches.
His one-handed sideline catch towards the end of the first quarter was one of the best catches of the weekend.
WOW. So much concentration on display.

This is just the beginning for Mr. Surratt, but my goodness am I excited to see what he can do with Hartman and slot receiver Greg Dortch moving forward!
