The Deacs look to end their losing streak against Rice. A heavy favorite (3+ TDs), the Deacs look to get QB Sam Hartman back on track after a tough outing against the Fighting Irish. The defense continues to shuffle around with new players in the secondary emerging (Ja’Sir Taylor and Zion Keith) as the defensive staff looks for the right combination of players/scheme with the dismissal of coordinator Jay Sawvel.

While Kendall Hinton is now at wide receiver full-time and new players like Sage Surratt continue to emerge for larger roles for the team, the Deacs are continuing to find ways to improve.

Look for the Deacs to come through on Family Weekend with a victory but more importantly, play better and gain confidence as they enter the bulk of conference play.
