Wake Forest welcomes back QB Kendall Hinton, as a backup to freshman Sam Hartman. Notre Dame comes into the game with QB questions as Coach Brian Kelly is mum about who will start, although admitting that both will play.

QBs Brandon Wimbush and Ian Book are expected to both take snaps for the Irish as Wimbush has struggled through the air (42-76, 589 YDS, 1 TD, 4 INT).

Wake Forest’s defense has struggled, especially while defending the pass as Boston College QB Anthony Brown took advantage during his career best game last week. With the extra time to prepare, look for the Deacs to try and slow down the run game and improve in the secondary while QB Sam Hartman looks to improve against a very tough Notre Dame defense that has held all three opponents to 17 points or less this season.
