Wake The Nation, the five seed in the South Region, will play its first game in The Basketball Tournament today against the twelve seed Showtime, at 12:40 in Richmond, Va. The game will air on WatchESPN (formerly ESPN3).

Here is an easy link to make sure you have it pulled up when the game starts!

If you want to follow along on Twitter while watching the game you can, but I want to warn you that the tweets of Les Johns, who is covering the event, will be ahead of WatchESPN, due to the slight delay in the stream.

The winner of this game will play the winner of the four seed Louisiana United vs. thirteen seed Atlanta All-Stars. As of publishing, Louisiana United is up 20 headed into the fourth quarter, so it looks like the four seed will advance. The round of 32 game will be played tomorrow at 11 AM to see who advances to the Sweet 16.

Ned wrote a great preview of the Wake-Showtime game today, highlighting the key players to watch for Showtime. As he also noted, Coron Williams has been added to the roster after the injury to Nikita Mescheriakov that will cause him to miss the entire Tournament.

This won’t be an easy game for the Deacs, as Showtime almost knocked off the VCU squad last year, who ultimately fell to Overseas Elite. Interestingly enough Jamie Skeen hit the buzzer-beater for VCU.

Here is another look at the bracket:
