The TBT Bracket has been announced and the Wake Forest Alumni team, Wake the Nation, has grabbed the 5 seed in the south region. They will take on the 12 seed “Showtime” and former Wake Forest forward Darius Leonard in the first round. The game will take place in Richmond on July 14th at 12:40 pm on ESPN3.

You can check out the rest of the South region in the video above, or check here for the whole interactive bracket with the location, time, and date of each game.
Looking ahead at potential opponents and notable players in the region, the Wake the Nation team (assuming they win, of course) will see the winner of Louisiana United and the ATL All Stars. The ATL All Stars look to be the more dangerous team, featuring former NBA players PJ Hairston, Shannon Brown, and Solomon Jones.
Winning that game would likely put Wake the Nation up against the three-peat reigning champs and 1 seed, Overseas Elite. Names that jump out at me for this squad are Deandre Kane from Iowa State and Errick McCollum, brother of Trailblazer guard CJ McCollum. Obviously seeing that they have won the TBT 3 years in a row, this would be a tough team to beat.
A victory against the 3 time champs could put Wake the Nation up against the VCU alumni team and 2 seed in the south, Ram Nation. They feature former NBA players Eric Maynor and Reggie Williams.
There’s some other great talent featured in this years TBT; if you want to look around and click through the teams you can do so at https://thetournament.com/bracket.
Lastly, the Wake the Nation squad unveiled their logo for the TBT and it is an absolute masterpiece.
